ATLANTA (PRWEB) October 03, 2018
The Litigation Practice group in the Georgia office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP was named a finalist for The American Lawyer Regional Litigation Department of the Year award for Georgia.
“This recognition reflects the outstanding work our attorneys continuously deliver to our clients,” said Theodore I. Blum, Managing Shareholder of the law firm’s Atlanta office. “Our selection across consecutive years is an indication of the model leadership and dedication of our litigation practices. It is an honor to be acknowledged by The American Lawyer, an organization embedded in the legal industry.”
This is the fourth consecutive year Greenberg Traurig’s Atlanta litigation departments have been recognized by American Lawyer Media (AML) publications. ALM’s Georgia-based Daily Report honored the firm in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017 for its representation of pharmaceutical and medical device companies in some of the most significant products liability litigation affecting the industry handled by the firm’s Products Liability & Mass Torts and Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Health Care practices. The firm was also honored in 2015 and 2016 in the area of Labor & Employment for the handling and trying of complex bet-the-company and large high-stake cases including class and collective actions by the Atlanta office’s Labor & Employment Practice.
Earlier this year, Greenberg Traurig’s Products Liability Practice was selected as National Litigation Department of the Year by The American Lawyer.
According to The American Lawyer, the newly revamped American Lawyer Industry Awards, to be presented at a Dec. 5 gala in New York City, are “recognitions meant to honor exceptional work that goes on across the entire legal services delivery spectrum and the increasing interconnectedness among members of that community." The firm’s Pennsylvania office was also named as finalist for Regional Litigation Department of the Year. Regional winners will be announced at the ceremony and national winners from the past year honored.
