Age Safe® America Celebrates 8 Years as a Training and Professional Development Leader in the Aging Industry.

As for new training, the Age Safe America Grab Bar Training course was officially launched in January. This course provides a thorough understanding of the importance of grab bars for the health and safety of clients of all ages. The purpose is to provide generally accepted practices for residential installation of grab bars through instructional presentations and videos; along with real world insights with clients. Age Safe America considers Grab Bars to be the single most important home safety modification; yet proper installation is essential.
Support for industry groups and associations is ongoing. In addition to our sponsorship of the Western Regional Occupational Therapy Spring Symposium (WROTSS), Age Safe America participated with the National Aging in Place Council (NAIPC ) for the Care Management Society of America (CMSA) conference. Another focused group outreach program was initiated with Area Agencies on Aging throughout all 50 states, acknowledging their vital work in communities to support aging in place and home safety modifications for their constituents.
