In acknowledgement of the terminal’s success, Air Transport World’s 44th Annual Airline Industry Achievement Awards honored the facility with the Passenger Experience Achievement.
CBX also boosts the globally competitive cross-border economy by providing the region with more than 300 jobs and offering a secure way for business travelers and tourists to cross into the U.S. from TIJ. Furthermore, CBX assists in efforts to keep up with the continued growth of international travel by using privately funded money from Mexican and American investors during a time of small federal budget increases.
