Founder of Green Solar Technologies Nicki Zvik Shares Excitement for Growing Solar Industry

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 16, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The U.S. solar industry is hitting new strides as a recent report showed growth of 2.6 gigawatts of solar photovoltaics last quarter, a 45 percent increase compared to the third quarter of 2018 and a 25 percent increase compared to the second quarter of this year.

Nicki Zvik, Founder of Green Solar Technologies comments on the report, sharing, "We know that the solar industry is ever-growing, but numbers like this are incredible. In reference to the recent report, an article written by Anmar Frangoul published on CNBC's website explains, "Breaking the figures down, the third quarter saw the U.S. residential market install 712 megawatts (MW) of solar. California led the way in this market, installing almost 300 MW."

Zvik goes on mentioning, "It's no shock to any of us at Green Solar that California is acting as a leader for the nation's solar energy movement. After all, we're based in Los Angeles for a reason and proud of it. And when we break down why California might be leading the nation in solar energy, it actually makes a lot of sense. For starters, California is generally one of the sunnier states, and of course, solar energy is related to a sunny climate. But with California being such a desirable place to live, that also comes at a cost with many cities in California being some of the most expensive cities in the US, and with solar being such a financially advantageous form of energy, it makes sense that the people here are drawn to it."

Zvik also discusses how California is setting an example for the rest of the country, proving that solar can be a great option regardless of where it's installed. With California being such a large state, and furthermore such a vertically sprawling state, it encompasses just about every climate the US has to offer.
