Full Sail University Unveils Innovative Technology Upgrades to On Campus Live Events Venue

WINTER PARK, Fla., March 22, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Full Sail University is proud to announce that it has invested over $1.4 Million in technology upgrades to support its flagship live events facility, Full Sail Live. Located on Full Sail's 210+ acre campus in Winter Park, FL, Full Sail Live is a 22,000 sq ft acoustically engineered multi-purpose facility that serves as a live performance venue known for hosting concerts, conferences, film & television productions, and more. A main focus of the facility centers on providing the university's Show Production Bachelor of Science degree program students access to the latest industry lighting, audio and video technology to produce high caliber work during their Project and Portfolio courses.

As part of the technology upgrading process, the venue underwent major changes in two key areas – a complete redesign of the entertainment lighting system, and a complete upgrade to the newest video server technology from EVS.

The lighting system redesign was led by Full Sail University Show Production graduate and Lighting Director, Noah Rohrbaugh. The complete redesign was done in-house and includes all new lighting fixtures, truss, power, and data cable, a GrandMA3 lighting control system and a video-centric lighting design.

Although the facility already had so many amazing systems, we wanted to give the staff and future Show Production students more room to let their creativity shine by integrating the video and lighting technology," stated Rohrbaugh.

• 1 x EVS XT-VIA 12 channel live production server
• 1 x EVS IP Director
• 1 x EVS PMA Application Processing Module with transcoding
• 1 x EVS LSM-VIA
