Greenberg Traurig’s Marc Mukasey Named One of Law360’s 2018 White Collar MVPs
NEW YORK (PRWEB) November 26, 2018 -- Marc L. Mukasey, Global Co-Chair of Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s White Collar Defense and Special Investigations Practice, has been named one of Law360’s 2018 White Collar MVPs of the Year.
Law360’s MVPs of the Year recognizes attorneys who had extraordinary wins and contributed most to their practice area in the past year. Mukasey was one of six attorneys selected as a White Collar MVP.
Mukasey, a shareholder in the firm’s New York office, is a criminal trial lawyer who defends high-profile executives and corporations in the worlds of finance, energy, media, and sports. Mukasey’s recent work includes two significant white collar defense jury trial victories – the first-ever acquittal in a criminal “spoofing” trial (U.S. v. Flotron) and the successful trial defense of a residential mortgage-backed securities bond trader (U.S. v. Gramins). He also represents Rick Pitino, a legendary college basketball coach, in connection with a highly publicized criminal investigation into corruption in NCAA Basketball, and is currently leading the GT team representing individuals in the ongoing investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller. A former Chief in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and an SEC enforcement attorney, Mukasey is active in court and behind the scenes, working with prosecutors to resolve investigations before they’re made public or charges are filed.
Mukasey is frequently recognized for his legal achievements and has been listed in Chambers USA Guide, The Legal 500 United States, The National Law Journal, The Best Lawyers in America, U.S. News – Best Lawyers, and Super Lawyers Magazine, among others.
