Greenberg Traurig’s Mark Tratos Lauds National Judicial College’s Restorative Justice Event
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) July 18, 2023 -- The National Judicial College (NJC)’s 60th anniversary tour makes its third stop July 20 in Seattle, following previous events in Miami and Los Angeles. The theme for the Seattle event is “JUSTICE FOR ALL… Healing and Restoring Our Community.” Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP is a major sponsor of the anniversary events.
NJC is celebrating with six special, themed programs coast to coast throughout 2023. The remaining anniversary programs will be held later this year in New York City and Reno, Nevada, with the final stop in Las Vegas.

The NJC’s anniversary event puts a spotlight on efforts to create a more curative justice system,” said founding Shareholder of the firm’s Las Vegas office Mark G. Tratos, who is also co-chair of the NJC’s 60th Anniversary Committee and past chair of its board of trustees.
NJC is the United States’ oldest, largest, and most widely attended school for judges, educating judges from all 50 states. The categories of judges it serves, including state trial, administrative law, military, and tribal, decide more than 95% of cases in the United States.
Tratos focuses his practice on a variety of entertainment, intellectual property, and litigation matters. He represents artists and performers, resort, hotel, and casino entities in federal court litigation involving trademark, copyrights, domain names, rights of publicity, and privacy law for known casino brands. He represents many of the largest resorts in the world on brand development and protection strategies, enforcement, and infringement litigation.
In addition to his robust legal practice and work the with NJC, Tratos has been a member of the adjunct faculty of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for more than 25 years. He is the past chair of the board of visitors for Lewis & Clark Law School and serves on the board of trustees of Lewis & Clark College. Tratos serves as secretary and director for the board of the Smith Center for Performing Arts and was chairman of the Center’s board of advisors, and co-founded and is a past president of The Discovery Children’s Museum in Las Vegas, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2022.
