Headlines the Salon, Voted One of the Top 200 Salons in the Country, is Holding a Fundraiser to Raise Money for Those Who Have Lost so much Due to the Fires
ENCINITAS, Calif. (PRWEB) November 19, 2018 -- The Camp Fire, Woolsey Fire and Hill Fire in California have burned their way into the record books exacting a tremendous toll on people, animals and property. As of late Wednesday, authorities say 56 bodies have been found in the rubble of Northern California’s Camp Fire, making it the deadliest fire in the United States in one hundred years. Three other people perished in the Woolsey Fire which burned in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. The three fires that are all still burning have also destroyed more than 8,000 homes and scorched close to a quarter million acres. While the victims of the fires struggle to put their lives back together, a beauty salon based in Encinitas, CA is doing its part to help.
Headlines the Salon, voted one of the top 200 salons in the country, is holding a fundraiser to raise money for those who have lost so much due to the fires. The event scheduled Thursday, November 29th from 6:30 to 9:30 was originally set to raise money for the salon’s favorite children’s charity CHILDHELP. But once owner Gayle Fulbright heard about the fires, she doubled her fundraising efforts and decided to help the fire victims too.
“It’s important for HTS to help out the California fire victims because we have had clients who have families affected and I know of a salon in Paradise that has lost everything to the fire,” said Fulbright.
The fundraiser called “Mingle and Jingle” will feature beverages and hors-d'oeuvres, product specials, a skin analysis, aroma bar and gift basket raffle. Two $500 salon gift certificates will also be raffled off, one going to help CHILDHELP, the other to help the state’s fire victims. Other funds raised at the event will be donated to the Red Cross and the Professional Beauty Association which helps hairdressers and salon owners who are affected by natural disasters. Fulbright is a member of the Professional Beauty Association.
“We hope to use some of our fundraising money to go directly to these people who not only lost their homes, but their salons and their clients,” said Fulbright. “PBA gives 100% of money donated to these stylists directly to help them out. The team at HTS is wanting to help ease some of this financial pain.”
“Mingle and Jingle” takes place at Headlines the Salon located at 121 North El Camino Real, Suite C, Encinitas, California 92024.
