New Historical Fiction Details Murder of Professor Over "Israel from Arabia" Proof
Gerhard Behrens' fourth book, "The Bible Murder", pays homage to the late Professor Kamal Salibi with compelling fiction surrounding the biblical theory.
LONDON, July 30, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Bible has made history, changed societies, created art and also caused people to take one another's life in the name of what the Bible professes. Author Gerhard Behrens has released his fourth novel, "The Bible Murder", a historical fiction inspired by a controversial biblical theory.
"The Bible Murder" follows the story of the murder of Professor Karl Fehr of the University of London, who provided the missing archaeological proof for the daring real-life theory published by historian Professor Kamal Salibi.
The late Salibi's "Israel from Arabia" theory holds that all locations and events mentioned in the Old Testament are connected to 'Asir, a southern province of today's Saudi Arabia, as opposed to the region of Palestine and Israel. If the theory is true, it would change the way the Bible is read and could even change the direction of conflict in the Middle East.
It is up to Professor Rietberg, a Middle East historian and Fehr's colleague at the University of London, to solve the mystery of Fehr's murder as well as prove his theory true or untrue.
An Amazon reviewer praises "The Bible Murder": "A good read. I have no hesitation in recommending this book… I was intrigued. It is good. It is not intended as an "apology" for Salibi's theory which is used as a baseline for the story."
