New book shares insights on how to live wisely, peacefully, simply and nobly -- with integrity
David Long announces the publication of 'The Layman's Guide to Grooving in Suchness'
MELBOURNE, Australia, June 28, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- David Long, the author of "Dharanas: The Direct Route to Divine Consciousness" and "Dharanas Book Two: Yoga Moment to Moment," is back in the publishing scene with the release of "The Layman's Guide to Grooving in Suchness" (published by Balboa Press AU).
This book combines plain common sense, basic psychology, yoga philosophy, and 2000 years of life wisdom to show readers how to live wisely, peacefully, simply and nobly — with integrity. Here, the author takes a catchy approach with mnemonics, odd titles, and attempts at wit and humor, to sugarcoat the philosophy, psychology and spiritual wisdom. Sixty-two ideas presented as "prescriptions" are provided to improve the reader's attitudes and lifestyle. Many of them can be completed in seconds, but if applied repeatedly, can have a lasting impact on people's values and lifestyle.
"(This book) will help us to step back from consumerism and turn to what really satisfies," the author states.
When asked what he wants readers to take away from the book, Long responds, "Mind-space, alertness and resolve, and a plan to develop good character, independence of mind, and the ability to turn again and again to 'Your Soul's Helmsman.'"
