Qualidigm Announces Three New Board of Directors in Support of Recent Merger with Maine Quality Counts
The newly appointed members previously served on the board of directors for Maine Quality Counts and were nominated as representatives for the combined board of directors as a result of Qualidigm's recent merger with Maine Quality Counts.
WETHERSFIELD, Conn., Feb. 27, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Qualidigm, the mission-driven, national healthcare consulting company based in Wethersfield, Conn., announced today three new members to join the organization's board of directors. The newly appointed members previously served on the board of directors for Maine Quality Counts and were nominated as representatives for the combined board of directors as a result of Qualidigm's recent merger with Maine Quality Counts. The new board members are:
Joanne Bean, MBA, BSN, RN is the vice president and chief advancement officer at Saint Joseph's College in Standish, Maine where she is responsible for managing relationships to increase understanding and support among the College's key constituents. Bean has more than 25 years of development experience on behalf of hospital, voluntary healthcare, and independent research institutions. Prior to joining Saint Joseph's, she served as the Senior Director of Development at The Jackson Laboratory, a global nonprofit independent research institution headquartered in Bar Harbor and Ellsworth, Maine.
Mylan C. Cohen, MD is the medical director for Cardiology Imaging and Diagnostics at Maine Medical Center and for Cardiovascular Informatics at MaineHealth. He is a past-president of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, serves on the Board of Directors of the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC), and is President of the Nuclear Medicine/PET Division of the IAC. He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine. In 2012, Dr. Cohen was honored by the University of Vermont College of Medicine with the Alumni Distinguished Academic Achievement Award, and in 2014 was named Best Cardiologist in Maine by Down East Magazine. Dr. Cohen is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine.
Jess Maurer, Esq. is the executive director of the Maine Council on Aging where she leads and manages a broad, multidisciplinary network of more than 75 organizations, businesses and community members working to promote the safety, independence, and well-being of older people in Maine. She advances statewide public policy initiatives, provides leadership within Maine's aging network, and supports Maine's Legislative Caucus on Aging. Maurer leads the Maine Healthy Aging Initiative and the Tri-State Learning Collaborative on Aging, a regional learning collaborative aimed at increasing the collective impact of community-driven aging initiatives. A licensed Maine attorney, Maurer worked for 17 years in the Maine Office of the Attorney General where she helped to implement public policy and legislative initiatives related to elder abuse prevention, prescription drug pricing, and end-of-life care.

Mag Morelli, president of LeadingAge Connecticut is the board chair; Michelle DeBarge, JD, partner, Wiggin and Dana, LLP is board chair elect; and Molly Rees Gavin, president, Connecticut Community Care, Inc. is board treasurer. Angela Mattie, JD, professor at Quinnipiac University, is continuing to serve as board secretary and Rollin Schuster, Jr., principal at Schuster Driscoll, LLC, is continuing to serve as board past chair.
