Sherwood Ford issues information regarding Ford F-150 safety recall from model years 2015 to 2018
SHERWOOD PARK, Alberta, Sept. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Ford F-150 SuperCrew Cab and Regular Cab trucks from the 2015 to 2018 model years have had a safety recall issued, due to potential fire hazards from deployment of front seat belt pretensioners in the event of a crash. Drivers may find their VIN numbers affixed on their vehicles' dashboards above the instrument panel, or in their vehicle documentation, such as registration and insurance policies.
If owners' F-150 models are detected with this defect, Sherwood Ford will then apply special Foil Tape as part of a Repair Order. This recall is projected to affect upwards of 340,000 vehicles across Canada, so drivers are advised to take action as soon as they can.
