Tequila SKORPIOS 1618™ Ańejo scores a Gold Medal at the Prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition
LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) April 27, 2023 -- Tequila SKORPIOS 1618™ is honored and excited to announce that our Tequila Ańejo, our only entry, took home one of the world’s most coveted Gold medals in the prestigious and competitive blind tasting competition at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. A Gold medal signifies quality, superb taste, craftsmanship and deemed a leader in its category.
This is a testament to the quality of our tequilas, mentioned its founder, Mina Trujillo. “We are a 100% artisanal product rooted in tradition. I am a 4th generation Jalisciense and know first-hand what a delicious and traditional tequila should taste like. Our releases are small batch and artisanal with a focus on superior quality which makes our product a unique and memorable experience for our consumers. The first encounter with our brand, is our very unique bottle. Followed by an exquisite and ultra smooth tequila. We only use fully mature agaves in the 7-10 year range, single estate, cooked in brick ovens for at least 72 hours. We then use one of the oldest and most traditional fermentation, distillation, and production methods. Our master distiller pushes the envelope to create an ultra-smooth tequila without ever compromising the integrity of tradition of a great tequila, and I am involved every step of the way” stated Mina.
Tequila SKORPIOS 1618™ will land on retail shelves in early June throughout California then followed by Florida, Texas, Illinois and Nevada. Plans are also under way for distribution in Dubai. Tequila SKORPIOS 1618™ is a very personal project for its founder, Mina, who attributes all the inspiration for the brand to her deep Jalisco heritage. She takes an ancestral approach to each of the expressions and reflects, “this is exactly what my great grandfather, grandfather and father would drink if they were still alive today.” Tequila SKORPIOS 1618™ is an ancestral tribute to her Jalisco 4th generation lineage with a homage to all the cultures and people of the world who inspire our journey.
San Francisco World Spirits Competition is one of the oldest, most prestigious, blind tasting competition who receives thousands of spirits entries per year. It was founded in 2000 by James Beard award-winning sage, Anthony Dias Blue and spearheaded by Amanda Blue.
