Texas Lawyer Selects Greenberg Traurig Attorneys for Lifetime Achievement and ‘On the Rise’ Awards
DALLAS (PRWEB) July 26, 2018 -- The Houston-based chair of the Energy Litigation Practice at global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, James R. “Jim” Leahy, was selected by Texas Lawyer for a Lifetime Achievement Award. Leahy and Palnitkar, along with fellow award winners, will be honored at a ceremony Sept. 19 at the Belo Mansion in Dallas. The Texas Lawyer Professional Excellence Honors program recognizes “lawyers who have made their mark on the state’s legal profession.” Honoree profiles will appear in the September issue of the magazine.

Leahy has 47 years of experience in oil and gas litigation, including upstream and midstream matters, from production and drilling disputes to pipeline and regulatory issues. He also practices general civil litigation, including commercial and business disputes, trade secrets, lender liability, white-collar criminal defense and internal investigations, fraud, securities litigation, deceptive trade practice actions, and insurance matters in the oil and gas industry. He routinely represents Fortune 100 companies in bet-the-company disputes, and has litigated throughout the United States and in international arbitration, as well as before multiple state and federal regulatory agencies. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the American Board of Trial Advocates, and is ranked in Chambers USA in Texas General Commercial Litigation.
Palnitkar’s practice focuses on resolving complex business and intellectual property disputes through litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution. Palnitkar has experience handling breach of contract, trademark infringement litigation, anti-counterfeiting enforcement, international FCPA compliance matters, medical malpractice defense for health care entities, fraud, tortious interference, and theft of trade secrets.
