This webinar will be hosted by and available through the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).
The webinar will feature prominent leaders from the public and private sectors who have led organizations, initiatives, campaigns, programs and investigations during critical times of global and national crisis, including the Boston marathon bombing, Hurricane Sandy, the H1N1 pandemic, the BP oil spill and the COVID-19 health crisis that has gripped the world. The TASC Group's president and CEO, Larry Kopp, will moderate the webinar. Panelists will include:
- SHEENA WRIGHT, president & CEO of the United Way of New York City, who launched the COVID-19 Community Fund with support from the NFL and Starbucks among others, and launched the Hurricane Sandy Recovery Fund that helped rebuild New York City neighborhoods
- EDWARD DAVIS, founder & CEO of The Edward Davis Company; former police commissioner of the Boston Police Department who led the Boston Marathon bombing investigation and is currently assisting major organizations as they move to reopen in Boston

"It's an honor to convene such a dynamic and inspiring group of leaders who can shed light on what the best practices are as we navigate these unprecedented times of crisis," said Larry Kopp, president & CEO of The TASC Group. "At this critical junction in our nation's history, it's essential that all leaders reflect, adapt and commit themselves to listening and learning as we move to rebuild our communities and reopen our businesses post COVID-19 and as we recommit ourselves to fighting for racial justice and building a more equitable and just society for all communities of color.
The speakers will each discuss how companies, organizations and communities can emerge as strong as possible from these two defining national crises: the COVID-19 pandemic and the pervasive injustices faced by the black community. The leaders will each share the qualities and skill sets that leaders need to possess to both manage and effectively communicate in a time of crisis, prioritize critical tasks, decisively make tough decisions and maintain a clear vision for the future during a difficult and unprecedented period in time.
