Ben-Shahar was nicknamed the “Harvard Happiness Professor” after teaching the most popular class at Harvard University (Positive Psychology) in 2006. He knows that, regardless of outside circumstances – and especially in an uncertain world -- people want to get happier and achieve satisfaction in their lives.
“Things do not necessarily happen for the best, but some people are able to make the best of things that happen,” says Ben-Shahar.

Since the success of his Harvard course, Ben-Shahar has spent much of the last decade consulting and lecturing around the world to corporations, schools, at-risk populations, and the general public on the effectiveness of positive psychology in daily life.
With the continued uncertainty in the world, he recently relocated to the U.S. to be more readily available for speaking, consulting and teaching to his North American clients.
