PES's client, SpaceX, made history when its Dragon spacecraft became the first commercial vehicle in history to successfully attach to the International Space Station. According to SpaceX: This was their second demonstration flight under a 2006 Commercial Orbital Transportation Services (COTS) agreement with NASA to develop the capability to carry cargo to and from the International Space Station. Production Equipment Specialties is proud to be part of their tooling team and are working on more exciting projects that are currently in development.

PES's precision machining department offers responsie lead times and the ability to work with customers for just in time manufacturing. Precision machining services include production of mold tools, jigs, tooling assemblies, custom automated tooling, and R&D projects. PES works with customer supplied 2D and 3D drawings or solid models that can be programmed, machined, and inspected using the latest Mastercam X6 and Metrolosys inspection/analysis software. Additionally, surface grinding and other manufacturing processes along with flexiblility on the size of the parts and of the runs allows PES to create custom precision machined parts.
