"We have had a long relationship with Aloha Airlines and we look forward to maintaining our presence in the Islands through this partnership with Aloha Air Cargo," said Brian Hollnagel, President and CEO of BCI Aircraft Leasing.
The first of the Boeing 737-200 aircraft belongs to a BCI Aircraft Leasing wholly-owned and managed subsidiary; the second aircraft is managed by BCI Aircraft Leasing. According to Brian Hollnagel, the aircraft had been on long term operating lease to Aloha Airlines, which shut down its passenger service at the end of March. Despite the airline's termination of service, BCI was successful in novating the leases to Aloha Air Cargo, which was acquired by Seattle-based Saltchuk Resources, Inc. in May.
"BCI has long proven its ability to manage through airline difficulties, and the Aloha Air Cargo lease novation is another example of this," Brian Hollnagel said.
BCI Aircraft Leasing, Inc was founded in 1997 and since then has become one of commercial aviation's leading privately-held operating leasing companies. BCI provides airlines with financial products and services to help them achieve their financial and fleet planning goals. BCI Aircraft Leasing's customer list includes leading airlines such as Air Canada, Air France, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines, US Airways, and many other prominent air carriers around the world.
