All Ways Retreats, a new retreat center in Southern California, is offering retreats for people seeking emotional and spiritual renewal through guided meditation and creative workshops. Started up by the founders of All Ways Recovery, All Ways Retreats is answering a need for people who lead busy or stressful lives, or simply want to take a break from their daily schedule to reconnect to nature and to the wholeness of life.

“At All Ways Retreats, we believe that everyone deserves a break from their daily routines and high-stress environments, to get back in touch with their inner spiritual core. Such occasional breaks can help people increase their spiritual consciousness, and reconnect with their true selves.” says Marie-Dorée Lambert, C.C.D.C., C.H., Executive Director of All Ways Retreats. “For many of us, the way we handle stress isn't healthy. All Ways Retreats has been founded in the spirit of reconnecting us with our deep-seated knowledge, and tapping into the realm of serenity.”

Participants have a choice of retreats to accommodate their schedules. All Ways Retreats offers one-day retreats as well as retreats that span 5 full days. The majority of the retreats are held at All Ways Retreats' breathtaking ranch in the Malibu mountains, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The teepee, sweat lodge and horse corral evoke memories of a tranquil way of life that can still be found in Southern California. Retreats are also offered at their beautiful Topanga Canyon site, which is nestled in the hills by a stream. The extended retreats are offered in Teotihuacan, Mexico, the Place Where Man Awakens To God (Pyramid of Quetzalcoatl). For the protection and privacy of their clients, All Ways Retreats does not publish the addresses of their sites.

Most of the non-denominational retreats include Native American events. The Native-American workshops include traditions such as the drum circle, the making of power sticks or medicine bags. Others are geared more towards a Tibetan Tantric approach including journey to the three worlds. “Both the awesome transformation and deep emotional release for the Indigo children and adults through the Indigo healing process is a soul vision” says Margaret Grace, SMT,CYI, Spiritual Consultant at All Ways Retreats.

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is a specialty of All Ways Retreats. “The horse has learned, through thousands of years, to make quick decisions for its survival. It will move away, dominate or cooperate with you based on its extraordinary perception of its surroundings, which include people’s emotional and physical state,” says Frank Hochuli, co-founder and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Program Director. “We have created safe interactive exercises that walk you, with the aid of this beautiful animal, through the path of better understanding your personal thoughts, emotions and needs. Through individual encounters and group activities, you will explore your sense of self and your communication with others.”

Clinical Director, Michael Topp, MFT, supervises all of All Ways Retreats workshops. He is a licensed marriage family psychotherapist, in practice for over thirty years, and a certified member of the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA).

Workshop participants reconnect to nature and to the wholeness of life by regaining the spontaneity of their childhoods. Workshops are both engaging and soothing, leaving participants with a deep feeling of relaxation and wellbeing.

“Breaks such as those offered by All Ways Retreats can help people reconnect.” says Marie-Dorée Lambert, “ As young children we start out connected to Nature, to Spirit, and to the wholeness of Life. We feel free to express that connection. As we grow older, we modify our behavior to emulate what we think we are supposed to be, and not to what or who we really are, in order to fit society’s beliefs. Some of these beliefs serve us well, but some also create conflict within ourselves. As a result, we lose our authentic selves. All Ways Retreats is about recovering our natural condition as joyful human beings. To do this, All Ways Retreats has created programs, journeys and events that allow you to get back to yourself -- a spiritual being free to love, free to live, free to be happy. We invite you to join us and get back in touch with the true person who has 'All Ways' been in you.”
