If you are honest and try to understand life beyond ideology, beyond your wishes, you could read and understand human reality at a higher level of understanding.

In his new book “The Imminent Collapse of America and of the Whole Western Civilization” (published by iUniverse) author Angelo Bertolo explores civilizations throughout history, comparing them – and the aspects of their society that led to their downfall – to modern civilization.
Bertolo suggests that countries and civilizations, like a single human person, can grow, evolve and, finally, die out. His book explores this cycle of the life of civilizations, looking at birth rates and morals as the prime indicators of the state of a civilization or country. Throughout the book, he explores patterns in birth rates and morality in various countries – based on a close look at their art, religions, civil institutions and science – and compares it to modern, Western civilization, especially the United States.
An excerpt from “The Imminent Collapse of America and of the Whole Western Civilization”:
“Science is a thing created by men, just like all the other things created by men: material things and less material things like poetry and civil institutions. Also: poetry and science are more interconnected than one may think: there would be no creation of science if in the very same human ambient there had not been creation of poetry in a previous epoch. Science is not created in the desert, but in one human context in evolution.”
Bertolo hopes readers see his book as a rational way of looking at life and history. He says, “If you are honest and try to understand life beyond ideology, beyond your wishes, you could read and understand human reality at a higher level of understanding.”
