Anomet Products Introduces Composite Clad Metal Wire that is Highly Reliable in Hostile Environments
Custom clad metal wire that can combine up to three different metals or alloys to achieve specific performance or economic characteristics has been introduced by Anomet Products.
SHREWSBURY, Mass., Jan. 18, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Anomet Products has introduced custom clad metal wire that can combine up to three different metals or alloys to achieve specific performance or economic characteristics.
Anomet Composite Clad Metal Wire combines up to three metals or alloys to achieve specific properties such as corrosion-resistance, biocompatibility, or operation at cryogenic to 1,200°C temperatures. Metallurgically bonded together to provide high reliability, flexibility, and optimum formability without breaking, flaking, or blistering, this composite clad wire is more reliable than plated products, especially in hostile environments.
Featuring 2% or more cladding thickness, Anomet Composite Clad Metal Wire is ideal for use in sensors, switches, connectors, implantable medical devices, and other critical applications. It is available in sizes from 0.002" to 0.125" O.D. Incorporating a gold, silver, palladium or platinum exterior layer, the internal layers can include copper, stainless steel, Kovar®, niobium, Nitinol®, nickel-iron, molybdenum, tantalum, and titanium.
Anomet Composite Clad Metal Wire is priced according to materials and configuration and is approximately one-tenth the cost of solid products.
