Another Successful Year for Beth Daniel’s Golf Clinic at Delray Beach Golf Club
Delray Beach, Florida (PRWEB) February 03, 2014 -- For over 20 years, Beth Daniel and JCD Sports Group have worked together to bring an exceptional team of golfers together to provide a free clinic in Delray Beach, at the city’s Delray Beach Golf Club and 2014 was arguably one of the most impressive line-ups yet.
The 2014 Beth Daniel Golf Clinic was held on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at the Delray Beach Golf Club, 2200 Highland Avenue. The clinic featured a "Fantastic Foursome" of women professionals including World Golf Hall of Fame member Beth Daniel, 2013 Solheim Captain Meg Mallon, 2014 LPGA Q School winner Jaye Marie Green, and 2013 Big Break star Stefanie Kenoyer.
Twenty years ago, Sharon Painter and Sandra Eriksson contacted Beth Daniel to conduct a clinic for juniors at Delray Beach Golf Club and the tradition has continued since. This year, The "Fantastic Foursome" were South Florida residents with impressive professional careers. With accolades ranging from Daniel's who won the "Rookie of the Year" title in 1979 to Green's record setting 29 under par score at the LPGA Qualifying Tournament this past December. All four have experience as USGA Women's Open participants and Mallon owns the 2004 U.S. Women's Open title.
“To be able to bring together an event of this quality, in Delray Beach, and be able to keep it free for anyone who wants to attend, is certainly not easy. However, when you look around and see over 200 people that may never have had this type of opportunity, it makes it worthwhile. We are very fortunate to live in a city that has put a value on not only making sports available to the community, but also keeping them affordable to all of their residents…anything we can do to work together and towards that same goal is our objective,” said Sharon Painter from JCD Sports Group.
