Our organizations are a terrific match as we are both enabling the antique, art and collectible industry through promoting education and providing quality information to collectors, dealers as well as the public.

WorthPoint Corporation, the world’s largest resource for researching, valuing and buying/selling art, antiques and vintage collectibles, today announced their partnership with the 35th annual Antique Jewelry & Art Conference called “Jewelry Camp,”. This recognized event is hosted by Directors Edward and Sandy Lewand and will take place July 27-29, 2012, at the Renaissance Westchester Hotel in White Plains, New York. Jewelry Camp is an educational forum promoting knowledge in antique and estate jewelry and is open to jewelry industry professionals, collectors, and the public.

“We are extremely excited to partner with such a great event this year,” said Will Seippel, Founder and CEO of WorthPoint. “Our organizations are a terrific match as we are both enabling the antique, art and collectible industry through promoting education and providing quality information to collectors, dealers as well as the public. I am excited to be speaking about how the online environment has not only impacted this dynamic industry but also made it better for us all.”

Jewelry Camp is comprised of three days of lectures, breakout groups, and networking events. Participants have opportunities to meet and learn from top experts in buying, selling, appraising, and collecting. This year’s featured speakers will include WorthPoint Founder, Will Seippel, as well as Donna Bilak, a 19th- and early 20th-century jewelry historian; Jan Krulik-Belin, Education Director for the Phoenix Museum of Art; and Roy Rover of Roy Rover Antiques.

“With more estate jewelry coming out of the vault and going to dealers and the retail jeweler, there is no better time to learn more about the antique and estate jewelry market,” said Jewelry Camp Director Edward Lewand. “And there is no better place to do it than at Jewelry Camp.”

“Through Jewelry Camp, we are creating a community to aid in the dissemination of knowledge. In this fast-paced world, it’s important to rely on each other for education, support, and networking, and we must take the time to help and learn from each other,” noted Director Sandy Lewand.

Jewelry Camp participants can choose among three conference packages—two that include hotel accommodations and one that offers a conference day rate. To register, call Sandy Lewand at (631) 471-1922 or (631) 377-9766, or send an email to jewelrycamp(at)me(dot)com. Visa and MasterCard debit and credit, as well as Discover credit, are accepted. Payment plans are available for an additional fee. Those interested are encouraged to register early, as enrollment is limited.

The Renaissance Westchester Hotel is located 35 minutes from Manhattan, 40 minutes from LaGuardia Airport, and 10 minutes from Westchester County Airport. Transportation to and from the airport is available by taxi and private-car service.
