Country’s top district leaders recognized in the “Leaders To Learn From” report

Apex Learning, a recognized leader in online learning for secondary education, is pleased to congratulate Shomari Jones, the Director of Equity and Graduation Success at Bellevue Public School District in Bellevue, Washington, for his recognition in the Education Week “Leaders To Learn From” report. The annual report spotlights the nation’s most outstanding school district leaders for tackling pressing challenges and driving change in K-12 education.

Each year, Education Week shines a spotlight on some of the nation's outstanding school district leaders in its Leaders To Learn From report, highlighting their efforts to energize fellow educators in raising student achievement and improving student outcomes.     

Jones was recognized for closing achievement gaps and implementing innovative strategies to support low-income, minority students on their path to graduation and into college, while engaging students, teachers, administrators and parents in systemic change in the district’s pursuit of equity.
