Cibos Launches In App Store, Bringing Sports Scores Inside Twitter Timelines
Cupertino, CA (PRWEB) January 31, 2014 -- CibosApp, LLC announced today that their flagship mobile application, Cibos, is now available and free to download in both iOS and Android app stores. Cibos is the first mobile application to combine live sports scores and a user’s personal Twitter experience.
The patent pending technology behind the application determines what specific sporting event a “tweet” is referring to and provides a static “GameStamp” to show the game details (score and time remaining) at the time of the tweet. This allows users to follow a game by simply scrolling through their timeline. Cibos also provides a live update of the game in progress, player statistics, and team standings. “Twitter is the top platform to discuss sports, but most tweets lack context,” Cibos President, Rick Gehman, notes. “Cibos provides that additional information that sports fans are thriving for.”
Cibos strives to provide the context that Twitter cannot always provide in 140 characters or less. Cibos hopes to eliminate the need for a sports fan to run to the television or open up another application to find out the score of a game. Within the application, the user has access to the current score of the game, the top performers, team standings, and a full league scoreboard.
The current Cibos product for iOS and Android smartphones includes:
• Full statistical coverage of the “Big Four” American sporting leagues (National Football League, National Hockey League, National Basketball Association, and Major League Baseball).
• Access to the users' personal Twitter timeline.
• Ability to send new “tweets”, read and respond to direct messages, and view profile of other users.
CibosApp, LLC plans to enhance and add more features immediately. One of the biggest projects is to allow users to gain access to a “spoiler alert” feature. This feature would identify a speciic sporting event and eliminate all related tweets from the user’s timeline. This would allow the user to browse social media as normal, without fear of the game being “spoiled” for them.
Cibos: Twitter Meets Sports is now available for iOS devices in the App Store at: https://itunes.apple.com/app/cibos/id782310462.
A dedicated Android version is also available via Google Play at: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cibosapp.cibos.
