Aviation Performance Solutions, a global leader in the provision of upset prevention and recovery training (UPRT) to pilots, announced today that Randall Brooks has come on-board as its VP Training and Business Development. Mr. Brooks will be responsible for managing APS growth into several national locations, overseeing technology applications in loss of control in-flight mitigation and leading the expansion of the APS UPRT instructor pilot qualification program.

With over 25 years of experience in all-attitude / all-envelope flight operations and training delivery, Brooks’ background provides a solid foundation for managing the rapid growth in upset prevention and recovery training at APS. Brooks has previous experience in both Director of Operations and Director of Training positions, and is currently the President of the Upset Prevention & Recovery Training Association (UPRTA). Randall’s 12,000 hours of diverse flight experience includes corporate flight operations, team member for multiple formation aerobatic demonstration teams, production flight test, sales/marketing flight demonstrations, and providing instruction in single and multi-engine jets, flight simulators, numerous aerobatic aircraft and gliders.

As the VP for Training and Business Development at APS, Mr. Brooks will pursue continuing advances for the unique flight training that APS has developed, as well as expand the delivery of their advanced pilot training techniques. “This position provides an opportunity to help advance what is “state of the art” in the area of upset prevention and recovery training, which has the potential to dramatically improve aviation safety worldwide”, said Brooks.
