AquaBlok, Ltd. to Showcase Contaminated Sediment Remediation and Sealing Materials at Five Conferences This Month

The Toledo-based company will begin its October conference schedule at the Ohio Transportation and Engineering Conference (OTEC) from October 10-11 at the Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. Together with their Ohio distributor, Meredith Brothers, AquaBlok will exhibit at the event, which is one of the largest transportation conferences in the state. The two companies will showcase AquaBlok’s bentonite-based sealing material, AquaBlok 2080FW, and share projects in which the material was used as an anti-seep collar, trench dam, cut-off wall, dam/berm construction and repair, and more. Following their participation at OTEC, AquaBlok will sponsor, exhibit, and present at MGP 2017, an international exhibition focusing on the remediation and redevelopment of manufactured gas plant sites, in New Orleans from October 16-18. COO and General Manager John Collins will give a poster presentation titled “Remediation of Coal Tar Impacted Intertidal Sediment in the Fore River, Portland Harbor, Maine” on Tuesday, October 17 from 5:00-6:30pm. The same week, AquaBlok’s Supply Chain Manager/Assistant Plant Manager Scott Collins will be giving a platform presentation at the 33rd Annual International Conference on Soils, Sediments, Water, and Energy in Amherst, MA. His presentation, titled “Methodology and Testing of As-Placed Organoclay-Based Contaminated Sediment Cap Materials at East Branch of the Grand Calumet River,” will take place on Tuesday, October 17 at 4:00pm during the Sediments Session.
