Area Businesses in Lee County, Florida Now Have Resources to Make Pitch to Hertz
FORT MYERS, Fla. (PRWEB) August 01, 2013 -- Southwest Florida Works launched a website to help assist family members of Hertz International who will be relocating to Southwest Florida.
Area businesses that might have a job opening and would consider looking for talent within the Hertz Family Relocation Assistance Program is asked to visit http://www.SWFLWorks.org and click on the Hertz Family Relocation Assistance Program portal or contact Peg Elmore at pelmore(at)swflworks(dot)org.
“There is always a lot of attention given to the employees when a business such as Hertz relocates to an area, but experience has taught us one of the keys to a successful relocation often hinges on the family members who will need to assimilate into a new community,” said Elmore, Business Service Director for Southwest Florida Works and the lead spokesperson for the Family Relocation initiative.
“Businesses looking to hire can benefit from the talented spouses of Hertz employees who are arriving as part of the relocation,” said Brent Barkway, business development director for the Lee County Economic Development Office, which also is called the Fort Myers Regional Partnership. “The Hertz Family Relocation Assistance Program is an example of the many partnerships that helped Hertz choose Southwest Florida as its corporate headquarters,” Barkway said.
Additionally, Hertz has established a dedicated email for businesses and individuals to contact them if they want to propose their products or services. The email address is monitored by the company’s procurement department and then given to the appropriate department within Hertz. The email address is supplierinfo(at)hertz(dot)com.
The Hertz Corporation announced in May 2013 it would relocate its corporate headquarters to Estero, Florida.
