ASM International’s Annual Meeting, IMAT 2020 Announces Partnerships with Leading Industry Organizations

Within the partnerships secured, IMAT 2020 promises an industry-focused conference and exposition targeted at advanced materials, processes, and applications.

“Through uniting ASM affiliate societies and our growing array of collaborative partnerships in a single conference, ASM will reestablish its historic conference leadership through IMAT 2020,” stated ASM International CEO, Bill Mahoney.

ASM International affiliate societies, program committees, and organizing/industry partners are coming together to plan IMAT 2020 conference and exposition in Cleveland, OH, making ASM STRONGER TOGETHER. ASM is proud to announce organizing partnerships with ANSYS/Granta, Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (IMS) and its World Manufacturing Forum (WMF), NACE International, and longstanding industry partner American Gear Manufacturing Association (AGMA), giving IMAT 2020 a global reach to over 30 countries.

Each organizing partner will provide technical programming and symposia with a strong focus on application-oriented, real-world technologies in market segments such as aerospace, automotive, biomedical, defense, electronics, and structural engineering.

ANSYS/Granta, the global leader in engineering simulation, provides software to the world’s most innovative companies. During IMAT 2020 their symposia will lead the charge of Materials 4.0: Materials Information in the Product Life Cycle, underscoring the Industry 4.0 / Manufacturing 4.0 constructs leading current market trends.

IMS, an industry-led, international business innovation, research and development program established to disseminate the next generation of manufacturing and processing technologies through multi-lateral collaboration. IMS will develop custom workshops centered on IMAT key topic areas including Big Data & Analytics, Industrial Internet of Things, Autonomous & Collaborative Robots, and Additive Manufacturing. WMF promotes innovation and technology application in the manufacturing sector and will bring strong context regarding the manufacturing labor workforce and the state of manufacturing in the 21st century to IMAT 2020.

NACE International is recognized globally as the premier authority for corrosion control solutions. The topics contributed to IMAT 2020 will provide technical programming around coatings and inhibitors for corrosion protection, crosscutting issues in corrosion of materials, and surface protection for enhanced materials performance.
