Each of these charities was carefully selected
WILMINGTON, Ohio (PRWEB) December 12, 2008
"Each of these charities was carefully selected," explained Martin Godly, Managing Director of Operations Finance and Community Relations. "These organizations match well with our mission of assisting established service organizations to provide direct support for disadvantaged children and families. We are pleased to be able to support our community, particularly at a time when so many charitable organizations are seeing a drop off in their funding."
As part of the evaluation process, the ASTAR Charity Committee met with the charities to discuss their missions, goals and current needs. Each donation has been designated for specific projects that align with the ASTAR Charities' mission.
Funding for ASTAR Charities comes from ASTAR Air Cargo, and from two dozen ASTAR vendors, who for the past five years have donated generously at an annual fundraiser designed to assist local children and families in need. ASTAR employees also donate extensively of their time for fundraising, overseeing donations, selecting and purchasing gifts, delivering food, and providing holiday parties and other events for disadvantaged children.
