Dr. Randy Smith's passion for age management medicine is inspiring, developed via his transformation from a very unhealthy physician to a model Cenegenics patient

Cenegenics Atlanta opened its doors to "The Big Peach" metropolis with a 21st century approach to aging. Hailed as the "next medical paradigm," the Cenegenics program offers established protocols that lengthen health span and prevent or delay age-related disease. Dr. Randy Smith, a former Cenegenics Physician Affiliate, heads the Alpharetta-based center as CEO and chief medical officer.

Smith partnered with Cenegenics® Medical Institute, the world's largest age management medicine practice, to found the Atlanta center, which is one of several centers Cenegenics is launching over 2008-2009.

Cenegenics tailors programs to patient needs, using proactive lifestyle interventions and a highly comprehensive evaluation process. Their science-based approach has garnered significant media attention, such as 60 Minutes, 20/20, Nightline and GQ, among many others. Other Cenegenics centers are Las Vegas, NV (headquarters); Charleston, SC; Boca Raton, FL; Bloomington, IN; and Dallas-Fort Worth, TX.

"It's an honor to be partnering with Cenegenics, having experienced firsthand the benefits of their sound age management medicine program," Smith said. "Atlanta is full of industrious people needing to take more responsibility for their health. The city already has excellent traditional healthcare options, making Cenegenics Atlanta's progressive-edge approach a good compliment. With the city's growth northward, Cenegenics Atlanta in Alpharetta is well poised."

The 2,200-square-foot Cenegenics Atlanta facility is 30 minutes from the city's bustling downtown area, set in a Georgian-style office park in Alpharetta's business-residential district. The center--well appointed with traditional and French country decor--has a conference/consultation room, physician offices and exam, diagnostic and VIP rooms.

"Dr. Randy Smith's passion for age management medicine is inspiring, developed via his transformation from a very unhealthy physician to a model Cenegenics patient," Cenegenics CEO/President John E. Adams said. "He takes that passion to help Cenegenics Atlanta patients achieve the same results. We're thrilled to be members of the Atlanta greater metropolitan area and thank the City of Atlanta for their warm hospitality."

Smith is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and board certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine and Forensic Board of Medical Examiners. He earned a medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine, then completed a four-year residency at Shands Teaching Hospital (Gainesville, Florida) and entered private practice. Later, he was trained/certified in age management medicine via the Cenegenics physician program.
