Orlando, Florida (PRWEB) August 23, 2013 -- Auto dealers can be effective in internet marketing by developing an effective tool bag for reaching potential Customers, through all channels. Research shows, that the branding and reputation needed to take the dealership to the next level, is the use of all classified and social media in combination, with all advertising mediums. Customers enjoy seeing a dealership that is popular on their favorite Social channel or mobile application. They want to immediately be a part and will interact with a store that is actively posting and playing the “Social Game”. Gone are the days of using just paper and TV ads, these ads must be in combination with the digital age as well.

Take these intelligent risks to learn and improve your tactics. It will empower your most engaged customers to help build more sales and reputation:

  • Craigslist can deliver profound number of callers into your store if you find an effective tool to get your inventory online in minutes, and will keep the inventory refreshed, with minimal labor on the part of your sales or management staff.
  • Facebook-Must have inventory on a Fan Page. Definitely need a tool that helps you create a welcome page, create FB Coupons, Svc Specials, and that post directly to FB Wall.
  • Twitter Rapid Post Product- to send out Inventory, Tweets, or Notify customers of events and service specials. That provides real time feedback and updates.
  • Backpage: Expose your Inventory and Generate leads in this classified environment, easy to post and great looking ads are accepted.
  • EBay Motors ads, will generate many potential leads, that a great salesman can turn into buyers.
  • Inventory Export Feeds- Very important to help dealership generate leads off classified sites , this will save the dealership from having to buy direct leads from a third party, because these are the sites that they post your inventory on as well (sites are: Yakaz, Oodle, Vast, and many other classified sites).
  • Call tracking - A call tracking number is published on all of your ads and routes calls to the default destination number (which is usually the dealerships main line). With new technology, extensions are added to the call tracking number to route calls to a specific salespersons phone and track the vehicle that the callers are interested in. If the caller enters the extension the salesperson will get the call to the phone number on file with his user account. If the extension is not entered by the caller, the call routes to the default destination. These calls should be recorded as well, so the manager can listen and qualify each call to make sure it is handled properly, and added to your dealer CRM.
  • Inventory Management –Making sure that all you inventory is merchandised correctly is imperative to being a competitive player on the internet. A graphic, concise story about each piece of inventory is crucial to helping your vehicles stand out on the web.

This was a small list for best practices to attract and engage the right followers and customers for car dealers. There are many more things to build on top of this basic foundation, first, start small and then work up to the other options that are available.
