BABALU Tapas & Tacos Donates a Percentage of Opening Sales to Local Charities in Charlotte, North Carolina
Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) August 03, 2016 -- Babalu Tapas & Tacos, which opened July 25, 2016, in the historic Dilworth neighborhood of Charlotte, has been welcomed to the area with open arms. Babalu is part of the Eat Here Brands family of restaurants, which originated in Jackson, Mississippi, and has opened five stores across the Southeast.
For each soft opening, Babalu donates a percentage of the beer, wine and liquor sales to local charities. A total of $9,000 was raised during the Charlotte opening, which will be divided evenly between A Child's Place and Mission Summit. Each charity will receive $4,500.
A Child's Place is a Charlotte nonprofit which aids in the placement of children and families in the event that they have lost their homes. A Child's Place works in partnership with local public schools to identify and aid with the homelessness crisis. They provide school supplies, food and other necessities to ensure each child has all he or she needs to be successful in the classroom.
Mission Summit is an organization which helps individuals in realizing their outdoor, recreational and professional potential, while at the same time, helping fund the needs of cancer patients. Mission Summit focuses on encouraging and motivating others to achieve their personal and professional fulfillment in the world of the great outdoors.
