The 2008 Beef Ambassadors are encouraging folks to share their enjoyment of beef by submitting videos that show their families and friends enjoying "More BEEF in More Places".
As part of their year-long terms as representatives of the beef industry, the Ambassadors are challenging beef lovers everywhere to share examples of how they enjoy beef, whether at home, a friendÂs house or a favorite restaurant.
"A productÂs quality is more than just about the product, itÂs about the consumersÂ experience with that product," says Leticia Varelas, a Beef Ambassador from New Mexico. "We want people to share that with us."
Videos submitted should be creative and fun examples of enjoying "More BEEF in More Places". Entries are due by April 30 and the winners will be announced May 9, 2008.
Beth Wood, Wyoming Beef Ambassador, reminds consumers, "This is your chance to have a voice with beef producers and tell your beef story."
The contest winner will receive an iPod Touch, and five other finalists will each win a T-shirt. The Beef Ambassadors are promoting the contest on their "Raising the Steaks" blog (http://www.RaisingtheSteaks.com), which is funded by The Beef Checkoff. Guidelines and rules for contest entry are available on the site.
