We really wanted to attend workshops that centered on social media as well as mobile marketing. We feel that these two topics are what we most want to build on at BestMassage at this point.
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) June 14, 2012
In an effort to keep up with the latest trends in internet retailing and how it relates to selling massage tables and massage supplies, BestMassage sent Marketing Director Peter Wang and Marketing Coordinator Horacio Padilla to the Annual Internet Retailer Conference and Exhibition located at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, IL. The conference lasted four days and included 175 speakers, 570 exhibits and around 5,700 attendees.
“This was such an exciting conference-- I am so glad Horatio and I were able to attend. The amount of information we received was almost overwhelming!” exclaimed Peter Wang.
According to Wang, one of the highlights of the conference was listening to Fareed Zakaria, host of CNN’s Global Public Square with Fareed Zakaria and editor at large of Time magazine, talk.
“He was such a pleasure to listen to---he was engaging, intelligent and entertaining,” said Wang. The audience seemed to have enjoyed Zakaria’s talk on internet retailing opportunities so much that they gave him a standing ovation. “It was fun to be part of the energy,” added Padilla.
Wang and Padilla attended a series of workshops the conference offered. According to Wang, he and Padilla tried to go to workshops that focused on issues most relevant to the internet retailing success of BestMassage. “We really wanted to attend workshops that centered on social media as well as mobile marketing. We feel that these two topics are what we most want to build on at BestMassage at this point.” Wang said that the speakers for the workshops he attended emphasized the opportunities and importance social media sites like Facebook as well as the need for retailers to ensure that their websites are mobile-compatible for the increasing number of customers purchasing items from mobile devices.
“Overall the conference was a great success,” said Padilla. “We learned a lot and cannot wait to use our knowledge to improve our presence in internet retailing. The way we sell massage table and supplies is ever-evolving. We need to keep up with the latest technological advancements in order to best serve our customers.” Padilla and Wang predict that they will be attending the Internet Retailers Conference next year.
