Boat Ed®, an official provider of print and online boating safety courses, is the premier supporter of the 2013 International Boating and Water Safety Summit (IBWSS).
“Boat-ed is again the premier sponsor of the International Boating and Water Safety Summit. The 17th Annual Summit will be held March 24-27, 2013, in San Antonio, Texas. They will be sponsoring the opening ceremony, breaks, a special off site event, and the awards banquet,” said Cecilia Duer, executive director of the National Water Safety Congress. “We all appreciate their continued support of safe boating through their sponsorship and quality education products.”
At the IBWSS, the Boat Ed team will showcase the latest improvements to the state-approved training at boat-ed.com. Students who need to complete a boating safety course to get their boating safety certificate or license can now take the entire course on their smartphone, tablet or laptop. The pages automatically resize to fit whatever device is being used, no app required. For more information, visit http://www.boat-ed.com/.
“The IBWSS provides an opportunity for the boating safety community to meet and work in person. We all share common goals and during the Summit, we can exchange ideas and information to deliver more effective safety practices through advanced education, outreach and training,” said Virgil Chambers, executive director of the National Safe Boating Council.
The IBWSS is the primary event for training, awareness, meeting, and networking for boating and water safety professionals. Now in its 17th year, the conference is a joint program hosted by the National Safe Boating Council and the National Water Safety Congress. The four-day summit also will include breakout sessions geared toward education, risk management, law enforcement, and communications and outreach.
