Brave River Solutions Assists the Opioid Treatment Association of Rhode Island and the Drug and Alcohol Treatment Association of RI with Software Development
Warwick, RI (PRWEB) January 09, 2015 -- Brave River Solutions (BRS), a software development company located in Warwick, RI, worked with the Opioid Treatment Association of Rhode Island (OTARI), in collaboration with the Drug and Alcohol Treatment Association of Rhode Island (DATA of RI), to build a custom system to assist with data importation and reporting for the state’s opioid treatment providers (OTP).
Rhode Island’s OTPs recently implemented Health Homes, an innovative state-wide service delivery model focusing on improved health care management for patients receiving medication assisted treatment for an opioid use disorder. An important aspect of this Initiative is to measure utilization, quality and outcomes and report data on these measures to the State. While providing guidance on the implementation and reporting requirements for the Health Home Initiative, OTARI in collaboration with DATA of RI, reached out to Brave River Solutions to help make the reporting process more efficient.
BRS’s custom application development services, including database programming, result in applications and software solutions that are scalable and easy-to-use. “Using state of the art technologies, our programming team can customize existing software or develop enterprise applications from the ground-up to streamline single or multiple tasks,” said Jim McAssey, Vice President of Brave River Solutions. The system that BRS developed for OTARI/DATA of RI permits all of the OTPs to import data in one place, allowing for easy access by the State, thus making it simple for the OTPs to meet the Initiative’s reporting requirements.
“Brave River Solutions worked with us to develop an application that alleviated the need for each OTP Health Home to report data to the State,” says Dr. Susan Storti, OTP Health Home Coordinator at DATA of RI. “They spent time to learn about the Health Home Initiative and its requirements and developed an application that fully addresses our needs.”
This custom application, developed collaboratively by OTARI, DATA of RI and Brave River Solutions, establishes a central point for data collection for the OTP Health Homes and provides a structure that allows for reporting as one entity or as individual organizations.
