Charter Schools USA Opens First of Its Kind Training Facility for Charter Educators
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (PRWEB) December 19, 2014 -- Charter Schools USA (CSUSA) today announced the opening of Leading Edge, a new, first-of-its-kind training facility to be used for charter school teachers, principals, assistant principals and staff. The training facility will be located in Fort Lauderdale at the CSUSA headquarters.
“Our goal is to invest in our teachers and provide them with a leading edge in the industry,” said Sherry Hage, CSUSA’s chief academic officer. “This is the first of its kind opportunity that will ultimately benefit our students by generating stronger results in the classroom.”
The training facility is equipped with today’s latest technology that will enhance on-site trainings and make possible virtual training seminars. Touch screen televisions, interactive projectors, motorized webcams and floor-to-ceiling Idea Paint will turn the space into a collaborative whiteboard. Throughout the year, guest speakers, industry experts and award-winning teachers will be invited to speak to CSUSA staff.
“At CSUSA we put a lot of emphasis on making sure our teachers and principals get top-notch training to make sure they are prepared to achieve results,” said Hage. “Too often educators are thrown into a classroom without the training and tools necessary to educate students at the highest level possible.”
Every other month, CSUSA brings together all principals and assistant principals for on-site trainings. These team members come from all 70 schools across the country. Routine teacher trainings that were scheduled throughout 2015 will take place at the new Leading Edge facility.
