Newcomers "One Direction" took the VMAs, will "Boomie vs Pirates" Take the App World the Same Way? With unique features and a promise of the ultimate gaming experience it just may be so.

Not since the introduction of Angry Birds has the game app world predicted such a promising release.

This year’s VMAs were inspired and riveting. Not that they ever disappoint but this year was especially entertaining because it was really all about the performances and the awards.

For both, the guys from the group One Direction take top honors.

A British boy band constructed after delivering solo performance on the show “X Factor” and now being referred to a “British invasion” all in themselves, One Direction continues to move their way to the top. Taking home three MTV music award including the coveted Best New Artist award, One Direction is quickly on their way to super stardom.

Even with no controversial wardrobe malfunctions or crazy celeb stunts the VMA were something to watch for the pandemonium created by One Direction alone. Screaming fans and teenage girls calling out to them was the spectacle to see at this year’s awards show.

Rihanna delivered the second-best performance of the night at the opening of the show and went on to receive the top award of the night, video of the year for “We Found Love.”

Even the schooled pop star couldn’t compete with the awe inspiring fanfare that ensued when One Direction took the stage. Performing their mega hit “One Thing” surrounded by a sea of adoring fan screaming and reaching out to them, One Direction delivered the best entertainment of the night hands down.

Even the boys themselves were pleased. "This has been unbelievable," Harry Styles voiced backstage. "This was our favorite performance we've ever done. For us to be here in the first place is amazing, and to perform and win a Moonman is amazing."
