Clements Worldwide Announces the Global Launch of Its Sixth Annual Expat Youth Scholarship Contest
Washington, DC (PRWEB) February 28, 2014 -- Clements Worldwide, leading provider of international insurance, is tomorrow launching its annual Expat Youth Scholarship (EYS) contest, which awards a total combined scholarship prize of $10,000 to six expatriate students. With more than 8,000 participants every year, the 2014 Expat Youth Scholarship is highly anticipated by the expat community across the globe. This year, the contest requires students, ages 13 to 18, to submit an essay demonstrating how their experience living overseas has empowered them as an individual.
“This year’s theme will give expat students the opportunity to reflect on new insights they have gleaned from their time abroad. As an extension to our commitment to expats, Clements is extremely proud to support children of families living and working overseas, and we look forward to receiving strong entries that demonstrate their enriching experiences,” says Sergio Sanchez, Chief Marketing Officer at Clements Worldwide. Building upon the momentum of last year’s record-breaking scholarship contest, the 2014 EYS is poised to be the most successful contest to date.
The contest will once again leverage social media platforms for both the submission and voting processes, engaging the expat community around the world. Expat students can apply by visiting the Expat Youth Scholarship Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/expatyouth to see entry requirements and submit their essay. Family and friends are encouraged to participate by visiting the EYS Facebook page and clicking the “Like” button to become a fan. Once a fan, you will be able to access the contest application in the menu bar to read submissions and vote for your favorite entry in each age category during the popular vote.
The deadline for submissions is April 30th (11:59pm U.S. EST). Fans of the EYS Facebook page can vote for their favorite entries from June 1st to June 30th (11:59pm U.S. EST). Based on the final tallies at the end of the online voting period, the EYS winners (first, second, and third place winners in two age categories) will be announced July 18th.
