Colleen’s Dream Foundation to Host Second Annual Golf Tournament and “Evening of Dreams” Gala in Scottsdale, AZ on February 20-21, 2015
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) January 08, 2015 -- Colleen’s Dream Foundation will host its Second Annual Golf Tournament and “Evening of Dreams” to benefit ovarian cancer research, in Scottsdale, Arizona, on February 20-21, 2015, according to Nicole Cundiff, Executive Director of Colleen’s Dream Foundation.
“We could not be more excited for this year’s golf tournament and Evening of Dreams gala,” says Nicole. “The response has been overwhelming, as the gala sold out in less than two hours and almost all of our sponsorships have been purchased.”
Colleen’s Dream Foundation President and NFL kicker, Billy Cundiff, adds, "We are excited for this year's events. The response has been incredible from the entire Phoenix community, as well as our NFL celebrity guests. We have put our hearts and souls into this and to see the overwhelming response is humbling.”

Nicole says the Gala is in honor of her mother, Colleen Drury, the inspiration for Colleen’s Dream Foundation.
“These events will mark the two year anniversary of my mom’s passing,” she says. “This is not only a beautiful way to honor her life, but to also honor her dream of finding an early detection test for ovarian cancer so that other women will not suffer the same fate.”
Nicole says having the event sell out in two hours reflects just how much people care about the issue of ovarian cancer, and also how deeply people cared about her mother.
“We are thrilled about the support from our family, friends and community for these events,” she says. “And we are also touched that people from all over the country will be flying in to help us raise awareness and money for research.”
Nicole says she is looking forward to this time of celebration and remembrance, with all those who will be attending.

Colleen’s Dream Foundation started in 2012 and supports research for early detection and improved treatment for ovarian cancer.
The story of Colleen’s Dream started in 2007 when Billy Cundiff’s mother-in-law, Colleen Drury, was diagnosed with late-stage ovarian cancer. It was only then that Colleen and her family realized a new world that was filled with invasive surgery, harsh chemotherapy, and lots of uncertainty.
Colleen’s Dream Foundation believes it is important to raise money for research that will lead to reliable early detection testing and improved treatment for ovarian cancer. Because so little is known about ovarian cancer in proportion to other women’s health issues, we have an incredible opportunity for research and education.
Colleen’s Dream is working with some of the top research hospitals and universities that are researching ovarian cancer. By offering seed funding to young investigators, the Foundation funds cutting-edge research by some of the brightest, young minds in the world.
