LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) August 14, 2007
Prior to joining Scouler & Company, Hedge served as chief financial officer and executive vice president-finance of TestAmerica Analytic Testing Corp. where he secured financing for the company's largest-ever acquisition, building the U.S. market leader for environmental laboratory services. Hedge orchestrated and integrated numerous other acquisitions for TestAmerica, implemented cost reduction and efficiency strategies, and helped position the firm for major growth in what is traditionally a commodity business. Additionally, Hedge held full P&L responsibility for the company including cash management, risk management, forecasting, insurance, legal, MIS, operational accounting, contact administration and financial reporting, while maintaining relationships with lending sources and private equity owners.
Hedge was brought in as CFO of Mosler, Inc., the safe manufacturing and security services company, to clean up operations and administer a complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy, where he engineered the sale of the company for four times the value expected by its lenders. Encouraged by the experience, Hedge went on to establish Regents Partners, LLC, a troubled company financial consulting firm where he leveraged relationships with secured lenders and equity owners to create and preserve value for financially-challenged companies.
A 1981 graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting, Hedge went on to earn his Certified Public Accountant accreditation and is a member of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
