The McAllen initiative is a very exciting development for CompUSA and shows the company's increasing momentum in this market
MCALLEN, Texas (PRWEB) November 1, 2007
"The new, larger McAllen store is in response to the growth CompUSA has experienced in this thriving market and our commitment to serving our customers in the Rio Grande Valley, as well as northern Mexico," said Gabriela Villalobos, Executive Vice President, Sales and Operations of CompUSA. "This new store aligns with CompUSA's vision to better serve its three core customers--the technology enthusiast, educated professional and small and medium businesses."
At the new store's Apple shop, customers will be able to experience the broadest selection of Mac computers, iPods and Apple accessories available in the Rio Grande Valley.
As part of CompUSA's nationwide roll-out of a new expanded business services area in all its stores, the new McAllen location has 1,000 square-feet of space dedicated to serving business customers. The business services area features displays of complete technology solutions for businesses to learn about and experience first-hand the products that best fit their needs. Some of the technology solutions include Point of Sale (POS) systems, Servers and Storage, Networking Infrastructure and Business Communications (VoIP).
For gaming enthusiasts, the new CompUSA McAllen store will have a broader selection of video and computer game equipment and accessories including an entire wall featuring the Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and a PC gaming setup to test equipment and play new games.
Many of the new features in CompUSA's McAllen store will be adapted across the country in other CompUSA markets depending on customer demand and product interest. For example, an element of the new store which was recently incorporated in all CompUSA locations nationwide is the Techie Parts section, which displays large sections of motherboards, processors, power supplies, unique CPU cases, high-end video cards and other parts to build a customized PC. The Techie Parts area features brands that are in demand among technology enthusiasts who like to build their own computers.
"The McAllen initiative is a very exciting development for CompUSA and shows the company's increasing momentum in this market," said Villalobos.
The new CompUSA McAllen store is open Monday - Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and is located just a few doors down from the old location. The new store is at 1800 S. Main Street, Suite #400, McAllen, Texas 78503.
