Couples Can Enter to Win a New York City Wedding from Duane Street Hotel
New York, NY (PRWEB) February 18, 2014 -- Once the question is popped, every engaged couple knows that the follow-up they’ll have to answer is, "How did it happen?" Duane Street Hotel, a boutique hotel in Tribeca, wants to know too. The hotel’s new Facebook contest, will award one lucky couple an NYC wedding based on their engagement story.
The contest launched on Valentine's Day and ends on March 31, 2014. Entrants are asked to submit their proposal story on Duane Street Hotel’s Facebook page for a chance to win a complete wedding package, which includes everything but the city hall ceremony itself.
"With the declaration of DOMA as unconstitutional, and our proximity to the Manhattan Marriage Bureau, we have gotten a lot more weddings lately, especially with LGBT couples," said Nicolas Daeppen general manager of Duane Street Hotel. "With this contest, we want to promote how fabulous getting married at City Hall really can be."
The winner of the contest will receive overnight accommodations at the Tribeca lifestyle hotel, sparkling champagne upon arrival, a gift box of 12 pastel heart almond pound cake petits fours from Duane Park Patisserie adorned with the couple’s initials, two "I Got Married in New York City" t-shirts and American breakfast for two in the morning.
For the actual ceremony, the winner can visit the Manhattan Marriage Bureau. Duane Street Hotel is one of the closest hotels to the bureau, just five blocks away. Renovated in 2009, the bureau is adorned with chandeliers, modern furnishings, and marble pillars.
Duane Street Hotel, an Independent Collection hotel, is a TAG-approved hotel and a member of IGLTA. The contest’s prize is a modified version of the hotel’s newly launched "I Do NYC" package, which is available for purchase and targeted toward couples getting married at Manhattan Marriage Bureau.
…So, we have to ask, how did it happen?
