Custom Home Builder Wayne Homes Donates Over $17,000.00 on Behalf of Customers
Uniontown, OH (PRWEB) February 18, 2016 -- Wayne Homes, an Ohio-based custom home builder that specializes in on-your-lot homes, announced that on behalf of their customers, they will donate over $17,000 to benefit more than 60 charities through the company’s Not-So-Random-Acts of Kindness campaign.
“We’ve done the Not So Random Acts of Kindness for 8 years and it continues to be one of our most popular promotions for our customers and our employees. We look forward to doing this for years to come,” stated Wayne Homes President & CEO, George Murphy.
The Not-So-Random-Acts of Kindness campaign ran from November 23, 2015 to December 30, 2015. For every home that was sold during this time, the home buyer selected a charity of their choice and Wayne Homes donated $150 on their behalf. This past holiday season, over 110 families participated in the campaign. Donations were made to charities such as, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, The American Cancer Society, Wounded Warrior Project, and Peace for Paws, Ohio.
“The Not-So-Random Acts of Kindness program allows our customers the opportunity to “give back” to their local communities through the purchase of a new home during the holiday season. We get the benefit of being introduced to so many local charities as well. Several of our employees have learned of chances to volunteer as a result of these gifts,” says Vice President of Organizational Development, Mike Leckie-Ewing.
