Custom Sign Builder, Sign Effectz, Inc. Collaborates with Ronald McDonald Charities Eastern Wisconsin
Milwaukee, WI (PRWEB) September 19, 2013 -- Custom sign builder, Sign Effectz, Inc. was fortunate to have been asked by a staff member from United Milwaukee Scrap, LLC to get involved in a unique project with a local charitable organization.
Jacquelyn Wahlberg, Marketing Manager for Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin, introduced Sign Effectz, Inc. to the charity’s needs and process for collecting soda pop tabs. The introduction also involved a facility tour and presentation of the charity’s family services for company President, Adam Brown. Even though the specialty at Sign Effectz, Inc. is designing and fabricating exterior building signage, the company wanted to help Ronald McDonald House Charities help the Milwaukee community.
Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin provides assistance to local families in need with its Pop Tab Toss program. The “collection bins” make it easy to drop off pull tabs from soda pop cans. The metal tabs are accumulated and sent to a scrap yard to be exchanged for money to support the charity’s initiatives.
The tour of the Ronald McDonald House in Milwaukee gave Adam an understanding of the depth and size of the organization. The Ronald McDonald House covers a lot of ground during times of personal distress. It is dedicated to easing the burden of families whose lives have been disrupted as a result of a child's illness or injury.
Families come from around the country and the House helps with the things many family members may take for granted. The families that stay there have one primary concern: the well-being of their child. These families sometimes put things like meal preparation and laundry on the back burner. Physical and psychological neglect is always unhealthy, especially when families need to provide support and make tough decisions.
Adam commented “I was inspired by the opportunity to help. I can somewhat relate to the value the Ronald McDonald House brings to the table. On a personal level, having distant family members at Children’s Hospital for years and thinking of how great this would have been for them makes me want to help out even more.”
