Dali Wireless Launches Universal Base Station Interface Tray to Help Mobile Operators and Systems Integrators Reduce Wireless Installation Complexity, Time and Cost

(PRWEB) May 20, 2014 -- Dali Wireless, Inc., a global provider of the advanced all-digital RF Router™, launches UBiT™, Universal Base Station Interface Tray, an active point of interface which simplifies installation and management of wireless solutions in single and multi-operator environments.
In the increasingly complex mobile telecommunications ecosystem, mobile operators and system integrators require a simplified way to install distributed antenna systems (DAS) and to manage the interface with connected base stations. Historically, such systems are passive in nature and require manual on-site commissioning to ensure optimum performance. With the modular design of UBiT and its ability to be software configurable either locally or remotely, headend complexity is significantly reduced making installation simple and cost effective.
With a single solution that contains RF signal conditioning elements, active signal combining/splitting functions, continuous signal input/output power monitoring, built-in signal generator and spectrum analyzer, and guaranteed power allocation, it provides significant space saving and an organized interface for optimized performance with the best in-class signal quality. The built-in and independent, spectrum analyzer and signal generator simplifies system commissioning by reducing need for additional equipment. With UBiT’s plug-and-play functionality, new modules are simple and easy to add, with no need for external splitters, couplers or terminators; thus reducing installation and operational cost.
With high processing density, a single UBiT supports up to 12 frequency band modules with duplex input in one compact 4RU 19” chassis. With the lowest in-class passive intermodulation (PIM), it supports the highest signal integrity leading to high data throughput. Each band module has a maximum input power of up to 100W that supports fast ALC (automatic level control) with remotely settable threshold. Any excess in input power beyond assigned power threshold will trigger the ALC circuit to protect downstream RF path and automatically clamps the signal and activates an alarm. Dali’s patented guaranteed power allocation technology that utilizes fast ALC circuitry, enables the power assignment on a per operator basis. This ensures desired distribution of available power amongst the operators.
The entire network which includes the UBiT and the t-Series™ RF Router can be monitored remotely with Dali’s Network Management System (NMS) through a graphical user interface (GUI) from anywhere, and on any device using a browser. It allows centralized monitoring of the network and the operators can quickly identify faults, perform diagnostics, and rectify problems to minimize adverse impact to service.
