Sydney, Australia (PRWeb UK) January 5, 2011
BigHand, the leading voice productivity vendor in the professional services community, has today proudly announced it has been voted winner of ALB Magazine’s Dictation & Transcription ‘Service Provider of the Year” for 2010, for the service it provided customers over the past 12 months. This highly prestigious category was voted for by readers of ALB Magazine across the entire ANZ legal sector.
BigHand counts 15 of the top-25 Australian law firms as clients, with now over 10,000 ANZ users from small to large firms. This year has seen BigHand build on its reputation for outstanding product innovation and technical excellence with the release of several new product enhancements; server based voice-to-text add-ons and mobile apps (iPhone and Blackberry Smartphones in particular).
Neville Clark of long-time BigHand client, McCullough Robertson commented:
“I have always found BigHand to be excellent software, easy to set up, use and train authors on how to submit dictations. They never rest of their laurels either, and we are very interested in BigHand’s new Analytics and Server-Based Speech Recognition modules, as I think it could be of great benefit to us with excellent return on investment.”
Another client of BigHand, Jeremy Collins of Shine Lawyers in Melbourne commented:
“When we switched to BigHand, I was quickly impressed with the level of service and support we received. Now I am equally impressed with how our users never comment on BigHand, and that tells me that it’s doing exactly what we need it to do. It forms a key part of the daily effectiveness of our staff and you can’t say that about every product out there!”
Dan Speed, BigHand’s Managing Director, Asia-Pacific, commented:
“Within BigHand’s Sydney operation we constantly strive to deliver the highest quality of products and services related to voice productivity. Lawyers operate in a highly pressured and demanding environment and, as such, our objective is always to ensure document production is seamless and they can ‘work from anywhere’. Our innovation is possible because of the excellent working relationship and two-way communication we have with our client base. Not only do we try to listen but we take immediate action in response to ideas and feedback we receive. If you aren’t saving money or becoming more efficient using BigHand technology then we are not happy. We would like to thank all those who voted for BigHand and helped us win this award”.
The BigHand software is used by over 130,000 professionals globally across 1,290 organisations, and is based out of Sydney, London, Chicago and Toronto. With 14 of the Top-25 ANZ law firms using its software, BigHand is a Microsoft Gold Partner, BlackBerry ISV Partner, and was voted ANZ Dictation & Transcription Service Provider 2010 in the Australasian Legal Business Awards. BigHand was also voted North American ‘Dictation System of the Year’ at the 7th Annual Law Technology News (LTN) Awards in 2009 and won 'Mobile Product of the Year' at the CNet Business Technology Awards 2008.
