Distinct Estates and Grand Slam Sponsor the Sean Michael Thomson Study Abroad in China Scholarship Fundraising Event
Jupiter, Florida (PRWEB) July 03, 2013 -- Last year, Distinct Estates intern Sean Michael Thomson lost his life in an automobile accident. His family has created a scholarship fund to honor his memory and help students at The University of North Florida explore their interest in international business and China. On July 13th, 2013 at 6 p.m., Distinct Estates and Grand Slam will sponsor an event to help raise funds for the Sean Michael Thomson Study Abroad in China Scholarship. The event will be held at Square Grouper Jupiter Florida with help from Mr. Gyros, Food Shack, Aristocrat Limousine, Square Grouper, Grand Slam and Distinct Estates. T-shirts and bracelets designed in memory of Sean will be sold at the event. All proceeds will go towards the scholarship fund at the University of North Florida.
Sean Michael Thomson’s love of international travel and culture as well as real estate made his decision easy when choosing International Business as his major in the Coggin College of Business at the University of North Florida. As a college student, Sean had already received his real estate license. Earning his degree was the next step in making his vision a reality of opening an international real estate firm in Miami. While a Coggin College student, Sean became interested in China’s rapidly growing business economy and took part in a semester abroad program in China with plans to attend a second semester before his passing.
