EZ Claim is easily one of the most innovative applications we've worked on. The comprehensive level of business process automation that it enables an organization to achieve is unlike any thing we've seen in the claims processing space.
Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) January 27, 2011
EZ Claim seamlessly weaves together several of the industry’s top software per-formers in order to create a system that is sophisticated enough to handle the multi-faceted needs of a business entity that requires a more complex system than what is currently on the market. Going by the old adage that necessity is the mother of all invention, EZ Claim was born of the need to effectively, accurately and efficiently process the intake system at LaVan & Neidenberg P.A., a successful and exceptionally busy Fort Lauderdale-based disability law firm.
In the typical disability claim—whether it is a Veterans’ disability case or one involving a private long-term disability plan or Social Security disability—there are numerous documents that are critical to the case. In addition to this, there are a myriad of other data points that must be recorded, tracked and managed. While several separate systems existed to handle these tasks, until EZ Claim, there was no singular system that could handle both the data and the document tracking together.
EZ Claim integrates IBM Lotus Notes and Domino with the free Symphony Office Suite and Sametime, allowing relevant data and documents to be entered, approved, tracked, submitted, filed, and reviewed. Kenneth LaVan, a partner at LaVan & Neidenberg, P.A., partnered with GBS to create this multi-stage software program.
"EZ Claim is easily one of the most innovative applications we've worked on,” said Scott Hooks, General Manager - US IBM Software Sales & Services for GBS. “The comprehensive level of business process automation that it enables an organization to achieve is unlike any thing we've seen in the claims process-ing space."
Mr. LaVan said even in its earlier phases, EZ Claim has proven to reduce the incidence of errors in handling a client’s case while simultaneously easing the workflow for his staff. By creating a more efficient work environment, EZ Claim has the positive dual effect of increasing productivity while managing the need for additional staff. In the time since LaVan & Neidenberg P.A. has employed EZ Claim, their caseload has dramatically increased without sacrificing their clients’ needs. In fact, the service given to clients has only improved as EZ Claim has become the system in place in the office and staff has become familiar with its abilities and functions.
Listed below are some of the highlighted advantages of the EZ Claim System:
- Integration with email, calendar, contacts, instant messaging, and other collaboration solutions;
- Integration with document and spreadsheet files (Office Suite);
- Synchronized offline use for roaming users;
- A customizable and extensible run time environment with a plug-in architecture; and
- Optional web browser and mobile access to the intake system and its features.
GBS and LaVan & Neidenberg P.A. believe that EZ Claim has implications beyond the needs of disability law firms. The system can be adapted and put to use in a multitude of legal practices, or any business that handles a large volume of documents and data in order to effectively service clients. To learn more about the EZ Claim system, its capabilities and whether it is right for your law firm or business enterprise, please contact Kenneth LaVan.
